Kansas City Hockey Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A California businessman said Saturday he will work with local officials to bring a National Hockey League team to Kansas City and be the team’s owner.  The Kansas City hockey jerseys have not yet been designed, however new teams hockey jerseys are always best sellers in the first few years and can be counted on for merchandise revenues.

William "Boots" Del Biaggio III is a limited partner of the NHL’s San Jose Sharks and part owner of the United States Hockey League’s Omaha Lancers.

Del Biaggio, president and chief executive of Sand Hill Capital, a Menlo Park, Calif.-based venture finance company, intends to own the Kansas City team when the $250 million Sprint Center opens next year in downtown Kansas City.

" Kansas deserves a hockey team, you should see kids in Kansas City wearing their hockey jerseys the way they wear basketball and football jerseys
